We’re finally back with another Friday Round Up! Not a ton happened in the world of pop culture thanks to the holidays, but I found some nice nuggets of enjoyment for you all.
Tron Bewbs: And here’s some Tron “cosplay” featuring a sexy lady in body paint. You’re welcome.
Star Wars Anime: I posted a fan made Star Wars anime a long time ago, but what would a Star Wars anime from the 1980s look like? Well you’re answer is above this paragraph if you haven’t guessed that already.
Mad Max Wedding: This is a bit old, but this Mad Max themed wedding was officiated by Lord Humongous himself! Okay, he’s probably a cosplayer, but damn he nailed that costume, which is basically a hockey mask and tons of muscles. As much as I like this, it doesn’t seem like there would be a lot of weddings in the world of Mad Max. It seemed like whoever you found and raped (male or female) was your new life mate, at least on Lord Humongous’s side.
Pop Culture Stuff
Uncle Phil Dies Despite all the holiday stuff and merry making, the internet mourned the loss of actor James Avery, most famous for portraying Uncle Phil on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but he was more famous for being the voice of Shredder on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon. His last roll is in the upcoming Zach Braff movie Wish I Was Here and I think it would be fair to say Zach Braff killed Uncle Phil.
Shia LaBeouf Infuriates: If you already didn’t hate actor and plagiarist Shia LaBeouf enough, his interview with Bleeding Cool about authorship is simply infuriating. I couldn’t make it through the whole thing.
Video Game Stuff
GTA V: I’m not a huge fan of the Grand Theft Auto series, but I got more into it with GTA IV. I normally don’t like being forced to be a bad guy. I like making that decision for myself, usually playing a good role and then going back and being an evil a-hole later on (my favorite GTA game is actually Red Dead Redemption, if you get my meaning). However in GTA IV I found the main character so compelling that I kept playing. Robot’s PJs alum and close friend Matty has been begging me to get GTA V for awhile and thanks to it being 20 bucks off at Target last week I bit.
So far I really like it. I can’t stand playing as Lester, because I find him entirely disgusting, but the other two characters I’ve played as I liked a lot. The online stuff is pretty fun. Not as fun as other online experiences I had, but fun enough that I’ll keep trying to get some cash to improve my car and get an apartment or whatever the hell your supposed to do. Plus playing again online with Matty is the tits.
Star Trek Online: I got to level 20 on Star Trek Online. What’s that mean? I got a new ship. Awesome. I also visited DS9, which was really cool. It’s for higher level players though, so I didn’t stick around.
