Children Around the World Show Their Most Prized Possessions

Photographer Gabriele Galimberti traveled the world photographing small children showing him their most prized possessions: their toys. The result is a fascinating look at not just what toys children in different cultures have but also how similar all children are when they are small – they all are united in wanting to play. Some of us are still into collecting but this is a fascinating look back at where we all came from and how we might be different if we happened to have been born in a different geographic area. • Little surprised to see He-Man figures in there.

  • that kid from the Ukraine sure uh, likes guns…

  • Mark

I must say that Ukraine kid’s picture is a bit disturbing.
Pretty cool seeing a vintage Thundercats toy in there.

Wow, great article. Seeing the range of toys the kids have, and how different some are while others are very much the same is very cool. It also makes me reflect on my collecting habits, and how maybe it’s time to stop.
