A NSFW Power Rangers Fan Film by Hollywood is Your WTF of the Day

The above video is kind of weird. It’s a Power Rangers fan film but with real money, actors and crew. It’s also very, very NSFW. We’re talking swearing, gore and nudity. Why has someone done that to a kids’ show? That’s the question.

James Van Der Beek and Katee Sackhoff in Power Rangers fan film

Who made it? Adi Shankar, who was actually a producer on Dredd. Joseph Kahn directed it and he made the either insane or insanely brilliant Torque. And it stars Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica, Longmire) and James Van Der Beek (Dawson’s Creek, Don’t Trust the B in Apt. 23). Oh, and Van Der Beek co-wrote it.

This is likely the craziest thing you’ll see all week. Don’t watch it at work.

Huh, that was intense, I guess? It sure was dark, and bloody, and curse wordy. It’s definitely well made, but it’s not for me. I was never a fan of Power Rangers, but I imagine if I was, then I would really hate this.

  • Same here, man.

I like dark and gritty, but this wasn’t the exact amount of dark and gritty for this property. You can do it serious without being over the line.
